About Us

To be eligible for enrollment in a pre-kindergarten class, a child must be at least four years of age as of Sept. 1, 2026, and must:

• be either unable to speak and comprehend the English language; or
• be from a family that is eligible to participate in the National School Lunch program for free or reduced lunches; or
• be homeless; or
• be the child of an active duty member of the United States Armed Forces, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the Armed Forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority; or
• be the child of a member of the United States Armed Forces, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the Armed Forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or
• have ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (foster care) following an adversary hearing; or
• is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
  • a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code;
  • a firefighter under section 3106.003, Government Code; or an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code

STEP 1: Determine Eligibility. To determine eligibility for the Prekindergarten program, fill out the Application for Prekindergarten Program for Aledo ISD (in English and Spanish) and email to Jil Beal at jbeal@aledoisd.org.

STEP 2: Complete Online Registration. Go online starting Tuesday, April 7, to complete registration.

Documents needed for Pre-K registration:

• Parent/Guardian Driver License
• Proof of Residency (i.e. electric bill, lease agreement)
• Certified Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• Current Immunization Records

STEP 3: Confirm Registration. You will be notified by the district once your Pre-K eligibility is confirmed.
