Aledo High School Seniors Receive College Board Scholar Awards

ALEDO, Texas, Nov. 5, 2025 - Aledo High School is proud to celebrate the academic achievements of 168 students who earned a total of 277 College Board National Recognition Program honors recently. The College Board National Recognition Program recognizes the academic achievements of high-achieving, rural area/small town and first-generation students.

College Board recognizes in the following categories: School Recognition Award (new in 2025), First-Generation Recognition Award, and Rural and Small Town Recognition Award. 

Students can qualify for one or more award designation based on:

• Top Exam Scores: Score in the top 10% on the PSAT/NMSQT (10th or 11th) or PSAT 10 among your high school's test takers, your state's first generation test takers, or your state's rural or small town test takers OR earn a 3+ on 2 or more AP Exams in the 8th, 9th and/or 10th grade.
• Excellent Grades: Earn a cumulative GPA of B+ or higher (at least 3.3 or 87% − 89%) by the time of submission.

These awards recognize students of all backgrounds and from schools across the country, helping higher education institutions connect with talented students nationwide.
