Aledo ISD is offering tuition-based, full-day Prekindergarten at the Aledo ISD Early Childhood Academy for children who:
- Are 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2026 and
- Live within the Aledo ISD boundaries and
- Do not qualify for free, state-funded Pre-K or Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)


Aledo ISD offers free, full-day Prekindergarten at the Aledo ISD Early Childhood Academy for children who qualify according to these state-required qualifications:
- be either unable to speak and comprehend the English language; or
- be from a family that is eligible to participate in the National School Lunch program for free or reduced lunches; or
- be homeless; or
- be the child of an active duty member of the United States Armed Forces, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the Armed Forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority; or
- be the child of a member of the United States Armed Forces, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the Armed Forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or
- have ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (foster care) following an adversary hearing; or
- is the child of a person employed as a classroom teacher at a public primary or secondary school in the school district that offers a prekindergarten class under this section; or
- is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
- a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code;
- a firefighter under section 3106.003, Government Code;
- or an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code

Payment Information
Tuition-based Pre-K in Aledo ISD will differ for Aledo ISD non-staff community members and AISD employees who are not eligible/do not qualify for free Pre-K:
- Non-staff members: $7,100 total for 164 days; payments are divided over 10 months (August through May)
- Non-qualifying staff members: $6,400 total for 164 days; payments are deducted from your paycheck over 10 months or 12 months (employee chooses which option)

After School Care
Aledo ISD offers after-school care and care for staff professional learning and work days through the AISD ECA based on a daily rate. Parents/guardians have the option to add up to 20 days of full-day care for professional learning/work days on the Aledo ISD Instructional Calendar.

- $31/day extra days (professional development)
