Principal

Christy Tolbert was named the Associate Principal of the new Early Childhood Academy in May of 2022. In this role, Tolbert will also lead the district’s English as a Second Language (ESL) and summer programming. Tolbert has been an assistant principal at Kings Manor Elementary in New Caney ISD since 2016. Prior to that, she was a Pre-K, kindergarten and second-grade teacher at Kings Manor (2004-2016) and also at Second Baptist Church, Brookridge Day School and Rayville Elementary. Tolbert has a bachelor’s from the University of Louisiana-Monroe and a masters in bilingual education with an emphasis on ESL education from the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley.

“I am so thankful for the incredible opportunity to join Aledo ISD and the Early Childhood Academy,” Tolbert said. “It is so exciting to know that I will be able to work with staff and families to provide experiences that allow our youngest students and ESL students to develop a love for learning and foundation for future success.”
